Okay. I snapped this photo at the Columbia River Gorge today. At first I thought this was an Osprey nest but looking closer at it this just puzzles me. Do you know what this is?

It is an Osprey. The nests are huge and the picture is taken from the back of the bird. I can see the white head and the dark patch down the side of the head.
Looks like an Osprey to me too mate.
Thanks for your information. Now I see that it's an Osprey. It was the angle of the shot that threw me off.
